Frequently asked questions

Do I need a subscription?

Reference content (vocabulary cards, grammar lessons, CEFR level pages) is free without an account. Full app features — flashcards, quizzes, games, progress — require a Site Access subscription from €0.99/month. AI features are in separate plans from €9.99/month.

What level do I need to start?

None. The app is designed for complete beginners (A1) and takes you step by step through A1 → A2 → B1 and beyond using vocabulary, grammar and spaced-repetition practice.

How do I know when to use der, die or das?

Every German noun has a grammatical gender — der (masculine), die (feminine) or das (neuter). The app shows the article with every word, and the grammar section groups nouns by gender with examples and patterns.

What languages is the interface available in?

The interface is available in 28 languages: English, Russian, Ukrainian, German, Arabic, Turkish, Spanish, French, Polish, Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Urdu and more. German learning content is always in German.

Does my progress sync across devices?

Yes. Once you sign in, progress is synced via the server and available on all your devices: web, Android and iOS.

Can I study offline?

Yes. Vocabulary cards, quizzes and mini-games all work offline; downloaded audio is also available. AI features require an internet connection.

Is there an AI tutor for German?

Yes. A personal AI tutor conducts live dialogues, checks your writing and pronunciation, runs dictation exercises and analyses your mistakes based on your level.
